AG Doll bedding

Well, I'm finally getting around to making bedding for my daughter's dolls' bunk beds. Christmas 2011 my daughter got a My Twinn doll. She promptly talked my Dad into making her a bed for the doll and he made a bunk bed. Christmas 2012 she got an American Girl doll. Thankfully, she had bunk beds already. :))

So, today we finally got around to picking out some fabrics for bedding. I found some FABULOUS fabric that is SO my daughter. There's a pink leopard print for the mattress. And a leopard-type print with splashes of pink for the blanket. We finished the mattresses tonight. I got too tired to finish the blankets and was making some cutting mistakes. So, we'll start fresh tomorrow. :whistle

WHAT FUN!

These dolls are gonna get me. She's found clothing patterns. She's already asking for PJs.

I saw your pins and you've found some great patterns! You're making me wish my seeing machine was working.

I can't wait to see what you've made. You go girl!

I may have to start stalked you on Pinterest. Miss J's dolls are not AG but they are the same size. And she has taken an interest in sewing. (Already made her own bag and pillow.) She about lost her little mind when I suggested that we could make thins for her dolls. Now that I've confirmed online that they are the same size ... good grief, what have I gotten myself into? :huh

I posted the finished product on Facebook. I'm not sure how to post the pictures here unless I load them on my computer. It's so easy to post them to Facebook, just one click from my phone. She's thrilled with the finished product. :love

I did a whole board for "doll sewing". Mine's already putting in her orders. :faint

Some of those are so awesome! And to purchase the clothes is ridiculous! Some of those outfits cost more than I spend on myself. :))

I just checked the site. Basic bedding $34. (Plus tax and drive to Alpharetta (or purchase online)) I think I have $20 in material. This material was a bit more expensive, but she LOVES it.

Pfft. Y'all haven't lived until you've made outfits for your sister's Barbie dolls which you don't even like. THAT is some hard sewing right there. :D

I really love the thought of making the things for these dolls, however. The accessories for this kind of thing are just OUTRAGEOUS in addition to the cost of the dolls. Kudos for y'all doing this!!!

I used to make my, and my sister's Barbie, clothes from the next door neighbor's socks. Barbie never looked so sexy til she wore a tube top dress! :))

Some of us are smarter than that. :)) :))

Seriously though ... clothes for those dolls, no flippin way. More trouble than it's worth. The price point on those suckers is low enough to take the easy way out. (And I got lucky in that Miss J never really got all that into them.)

I saw the pictures - it is gorgeous and well worth the cost of the material!

And for those that didn't see it - here is Madea's picture of it.
