Amy Winehouse reportedly found dead

Re: Amy Winehouse reporterdly found dead

She had a serious problem with drugs and alcohol for years. I'm surprised as well she hadn't died sooner.

RIP.......AMY

I don't think this is gonna be a real shocker to many folks........so sad for her

Re: Amy Winehouse reporterdly found dead

They tried to make her go to rehab but Amy said no, no, no

such a great soulful voice and talent that she threw away. I wished she would have gotten help... RIP AMy

Re: Amy Winehouse reporterdly found dead

I guess I'm old or something but I don't even know who Amy Winehouse is.

Re: Amy Winehouse reporterdly found dead

I've heard the name but know nothing about her, other than her drug problems. What a sad way to waste a life. :(

that is why NOBODY got my post...its a line from rehab...which is a true story about her life

This is a tragedy. Another talented artist is snuffed out in their prime by drugs and alcohol. Her voice was perfect for blues and jazz. She could have done so much if she was able to break free from the prison of addiction. She joins a long list.

So true. Amazing talent.

I was cruising around and checking her stuff out on youtube. What a waste. Amazing throwback style. I may actually have to track down a copy of her CD Back To Black.

This is truly a sad situation that someone dies from drug abuse.
I have recently been informed that I am not informed as this is now called "self medication", instead of drug abuse/ alchol abuse as I have thought of this type of addiction.
I guess I need to brush up on my politically correct terminology.

There is nothing "politically correct" about somebody slowly killing themselves through the abuse of drugs or alcohol. It really makes me mad when pundits try to marginalize the deadly game of Russian roulette played by millions of the afflicted every day. Rush is a prime example. His addiction was just as potentially deadly as a heroin addict on Marietta Blvd. in downtown Atlanta. He should be expressing the insidious way that drugs can insert themselves into the lives of the susceptible, and even those who are not. Instead he makes light of it as if it were an innocent mistake. He could have done a lot of good, and maybe even gotten through to somebody who has or will die from addiction.

You're not the only one; it's already back on the charts. I suspect her estate will make much money after her death.
