Asking for prayer...for my mother **update**

Just spent the evening with my mom and let me just say what a tough woman she is. Her medication had long wore off but she said she didn't need any pain pills. She would work through it. I did get her to eat a great dinner and she my brothers and sister in law sat around just talking and telling old stories on each other. I watched her as we were talking and it was good to see her laughing and having a good time. She assured me she was in no pain, just really tired. Her sweet neighbor is a retired nurse who promised to look in on her tomorrow while we are all at work..which made us all feel so much better!

I am so very thankful that they were able to get all the cancer out of her hand. The doctor called to check on her this evening. he is so sweet. She was so happy he called her. Now if the spot on her leg goes as smooth as the one on her hand...we might be in the clear. Thank you all for the prayers. I am feeling much better after seeing her tonight and talking to the doctor. Love my sweet mama and feel very fortunate to still have her. She'll be 84 next week =)

Wow! She sounds like a wonderful mother and one classy lady! I will pray for her continued recovery.

thought I would update you guys on mom!

Just got back from the doc with her. I took her in to have her stitches removed from her face. Since my last update..he had to go back into the face and cut out some more cancer. He also cut out the spot on her leg.

He feels she is in the clear now. He doesn't wanna check her out again for a month. AFter that he said if all looks well, she will go on a 6 months check up basis ;D Thanks for all the prayers! My mom and I both appreciate them! :love

NJ,

She has had this for YEARS! when I say years I mean since I was in my 20's. It was very slow moving but eventually it took over her face, neck, some on her arms, hands and legs. The places on her face and neck were red and scabby. The place on her hand and leg actually had a growth that grew on top of the skin that for a lack of a better description, looked like raw meat. He has given her a cancer cream to put on the places on her face and neck he didn't have to cut out. he said it will help kill off the cancer cells. She goes back in a month to check them out.
