AJC is reporting:

"Wind energy pledge: Prime Minister Boris Johnson pledged Tuesday that every home in Britain will be powered by wind energy in a decade ads the government kick-starts a "green industrial revolution" that will create hundreds of thousands of jobs. "

Sounds like some program that a certain Western State governor would announce. Long term, doesn't require him to do anything and passes the buck on paying for it to the future PMs.

I wonder if a Castle is considered a "home"... or an apartment building. Just how many stand alone homes are their in Britain? Shoot, if they try to build the thousands of wind generators this would take, it will be in the courts for 10 years, never mind construction time.

What a joke.

They already have hundreds and hundreds of wind turbines offshore, and each one can power 8,000 homes, (for the life of me I can't figure out the math in that, or who did the math). Already they are discovering engineering errors in metal bases that are corroding and sinking in the ocean floor. I just don't see wind as a viable and economic source of energy nationwide.
I wonder how many wind turbines it would take to slow down the earths rotational speed and really screw things up?

I don't know about slowing the rotation, but slowing winds has got to change the weather some... the energy has to come from somewhere and should slow the movement of moister from one point to another. I wonder if a hefty percentage of the trade winds were stopped what that would do to the weather on some islands...
