Atlanta turning into Chicago

Pursuit Driver
The mayor and APD need to get this under control.

More details on the 8 year old shot and killed.

According to police, the child was riding in a car with her mom and an adult friend when car exited the interstate near the intersection of University Avenue and Pryor Road. Police said the driver was attempting to enter the parking lot on the 1200 block of Pryor Road when they were confronted by a group of armed individuals who were blocking the entrance.

Someone in the group began shooting at the car, hitting it multiple times including the shot that hit the child.

 :(

I suspect she would have done the same even without the possibility of being Biden's running mate.
She gave a great speech when the initial protests started in Atlanta following the death of Floyd, saying, "We're better than that Atlanta," and had the cops out in mass. After she made Biden's short list and Brooks was shot by the APD officer, she took a different position and was against her police officers.

She gets in front of the mic and says "we all have to do better". Armed gangs were harassing people at that intersection for over a week. She and her new puppet police chief should have done better. This is entirely on them.

Her "great speech" was from her bunker in city hall surrounded by cops while the outnumbered LEO's were facing a violent crowd burning and looting "her" city. She is a gutless, self serving, entitled, racist, hand picked by former criminal mayor Cash'um Reed to continue the extortion of the city of Atlanta. The city I have called home my whole life is unrecognizable. I have known this for some time but recent activities have reopened the wound.

Duckworth emerging as a contender to be Biden’s running mate

Tammy Duckworth, senator from Illinois and a war hero, is being looked at seriously.

If Biden selects her; he's doing so in attempt to get the veteran and military votes, as well as the minority vote. I don't think she will be a choice that will get him the veteran and military vote as they tend to always vote for conservative candidates running for the WH. According to a couple of articles I have read about her, she has done work on behalf of veterans. I can't find anything on what her position is on defense spending.

She has called him Cadet Bone Spurs, she could actually get under his skin with that on the campaign trail.

This isn't the first time Duckworth has pointed out Trump's draft deferments. Last month, she brought it up on the Senate floor.
"I spent my entire adult life looking out for the well-being, the training, the equipping of the troops for whom I was responsible. I will not be lectured about what our military needs by a five-deferment draft dodger," Duckworth said at the time.

Wait...she's not black.
No, Asian. Born in Thailand from a military dad
From Wiki:
Duckworth was the first Thai American woman elected to Congress, the first born in Thailand elected to Congress, the first woman with a disability to be elected to Congress, the first female double amputee in the Senate, and the first Senator to give birth while in office. Duckworth is the second Asian American woman serving in the U.S. Senate, after Mazie Hirono, and before Kamala Harris.

Her father, who died in 2005, was a U.S. Army veteran[5][better source needed] who traced his family's American roots to the American Revolutionary War.[6] Her mother is Thai Chinese.[7] Because of her father's work with the United Nations and international companies in refugee, housing, and development programs,[8] the family moved around Southeast Asia. Duckworth became fluent in Thai and Indonesian, in addition to English.[9]

Duckworth attended Singapore American School, and for a few months in her senior year was at the International School Bangkok, and was in the class of 1985 at Jakarta Intercultural School[10][11] (then known as Jakarta International School). The family settled in Hawaii when she was sixteen. Her father was unemployed for a time, and the family relied on public assistance.[8] She graduated with honors from McKinley High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 1985, having skipped the ninth grade. She graduated from the University of Hawaii in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and later received a Master of Arts in international affairs from George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs.[

‘We Should Listen to the Argument’ for Removing George Washington Statues, Says Senator Duckworth

I find it hypocritical on her part that she points out Trump's draft deferments. Did she support Bill Clinton? Clinton used ROTC in college to get his tuition paid for, then wrote a letter just before graduation requesting not to honor his commitment to be commissioned an officer so he could continue his higher education. He didn't want to risk going to Vietnam. What does that say about his character?

I have 29 years of military service with four deployments to war. I don't care that Clinton and Trump didn't serve. Military service is not a requirement to be POTUS. What I do care about is how a POTUS leads the military; not weaken with reductions in budget and size. We need a strong military and the ability to maintain that strength to protect our country. Our military strength was reduced significantly prior to the attack on Pearl Harbor. We quickly had to start drafting men and order privately owned manufacturing companies to make war equipment. We should never be in that position again.

We will be in that position again because we do not make our own steel any longer. China took that over.

I agree... and honestly, Trump went to NY Military Academy boarding school and apparently did very well there and thrived in that environment... so he has more than Clinton.

My dad was raised in Military boarding schools, then went to a Military Academy and then went into the Marines as an officer after attending college. There is a mindset and discipline fostered into the young men at Military Academies that is on par with what the Military prepares men for. Clinton did not have that.

If those are qualifications then If she's trans-gendered she will have all the boxes checked.

Give her a few months... she can identify as a man... she probably has more balls than most, being in the military and flying helicopters so she could see combat (she said it was the only place they let women be for combat duty.)
