Blackberry winter is upon us

Rolling down the highway
The blackberries are blooming already!! Supposed to cool off next week, down in the 40s one night. Perhaps this will be the last little cool spell and then pool time!!

My cypress vine that usually doesn't make an appearance until around Mother's Day is already coming up!! :cheer1
 
I saw a blackberry bush early this week and did a double-take. But sure enough... :runningtolookupcypressvine:

No kidding :rant I guess I shouldn't complain...it was a pretty mild winter. I would like to say "thanks, buy BYE already" to winter :Stick

I don't think it's going to freeze. Blackberry Winter traditionally is cool with a chance of light frost one or two nights. You might have to watch Wednesday night, temp is supposed to be 38. I've seen frost at 40 but it's usually not a killing frost. My garden is going in the third week of April, on it's regular schedule.
 
Hubby planted the blueberries yesterday. I'm anxious to get other stuff going but guess I'll wait through the week.
