He’s not the worst of their problems. Fried is sucking it up tonight. 6-0 top of the first…time to pull him coach. He may need a stint in the minors.
 
That was a good comeback. The Tigers, on the other hand, were shut out by the A's 4-0. They dropped to a half-game behind the former Indians.
 
Just like the last few years the Brave's Achilles heel is pitching. The starters and the bullpen are suspect with no real ace on the staff. I hate it for Strider but his mechanics always seemed suspect to me. Not everyone is Nolan Ryan his longevity throwing that hard was an exception to the rule. Fried has been suspect since his injury last year and Strider is done for at least a season. These two were touted as their aces. Their offense on the other hand is still probably the best in MLB when they are hitting on all eight. You can't spot everybody 5-6 runs and come back every game.
 
I was wondering what the heck is going on with Max Fried. The last two starts he's been hit hard in the 1st inning and given up a lot of runs. Maybe it's jitters, we'll see. My son is going to today's game. I've got tickets for a game in May.
