California Law Requires Gender-Neutral Area in Some Stores

I remember in the mid 80's when androgyny was the thing... the "experts" were telling us it was nurture not nature that made boys aggressive and girls nurturing. The push was to let boys play with dolls, and a myriad of other things. I had classes in college that reinforced this thought.

Real world experience of having sons vs my friends with girls. Boys are different than girls... it is not nature vs nurture.

My son's had access to Baby Dolls and cribs that I had as a kid. They either used the Baby Dolls as hammers, or would put them to bed then say to my friend's little girls, as they put the dolls in the crib with a blanket over them, "Okay the baby's are asleep, now we can go outside and play." Grabbing Star Wars Phasers, fishing poles and swords as they ran to the back yard.

Having an androgynous aisle will just cause the stores to lose money. This progressive wet dream of trying to say we are all the same gets recycled each generation.

Living in the real world changes believability.

Newsom is a pandering fool.

...the animal-research findings resonated with sex-based differences ascribed to people. These findings continue to accrue. In a study of 34 rhesus monkeys, for example, males strongly preferred toys with wheels over plush toys, whereas females found plush toys likable. It would be tough to argue that the monkeys’ parents bought them sex-typed toys or that simian society encourages its male offspring to play more with trucks. A much more recent study established that boys and girls 9 to 17 months old — an age when children show few if any signs of recognizing either their own or other children’s sex — nonetheless show marked differences in their preference for stereotypically male versus stereotypically female toys.
