Christmas Goodies...

What goodies are you mixing up in the kitchen this year ? ? ?

I have been baking since 6 am
and so far I have made these :

mini cranberry breads
choco chunk cookies
sugar cookies w/mm's
cinnamon snickerdoodles

Getting ready to start about
5 dozen peanut butter balls...

(we like to give out baskets of treats to
our neighbors and hubby's co workers...)

I haven't started yet, but I think I will be making peppermint bark, fudge, cookie dough truffles, pumpkin bread and my mom's puppy chow.

pepermnt chocolate

cake pops which I will never make ever ever ever again, I am not enjoying making them

mini chocolate chip peanut butter pies

I'll get started later this week, but so far 2 peanut butter cakes, and.... Idk. I'm just not in the spirit yet.

BUT, I finally got my Christmas cards yesterday, and I just finished them up. My hand hurts, lol.

Well, I can't make anything here. I did receive a couple of care packages though. One was from a flight attendant I met. She made me a bunch of chocolate cookies and party mix. They were yummy. They didn't last very long because I shared with those I work with. I got another package from a friend that had some candy. I have to take that to work and share it as well. I can't eat it all myself or I'll gain back the weight I have lost.

My daughter sent me a package, but it hasn't arrived yet. She said there is 3lbs of homemade fudge in it. That I will definitely be sharing with everyone because it is so good. This is the time of year where I usually put on a couple of pounds. I'm really working hard to prevent that this year.

We already made chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal and golden raisin cookies, and peanut butter bars. I'm planning to make thumbprints tomorrow and maybe a few others later in the week.

I'm officially done making goodies (other than things I will be serving at Christmas dinner). So far, I've made pralines, fudge (traditional and peanut butter), white chocolate covered pretzels, turtles, toffee, ginger cookies, wedding cookies, bourbon balls, sausage balls, and peppermint truffles. I can't even begin to guess how much of each that I made because I just kept baking/cooking/mixing until every goody basket was done. I can tell you that I've gone through over 15 lbs of sugar, 10 lbs of flour, 3 containers of Hershey's cocoa powder, and 6 boxes each of confectioner's sugar and brown sugar.

So cool! That is amazing. :)

I bake on the weekend..I don't have much time since I work full time.

And as soon as I make cookies they disapear in the KIDDO tummies.

I made
Chocolate Chunk Cookies
White Chocolate Macadama Nut Cookies
Buck-eyed Balls
Cherry Chip Cookies
Mint Chip Cookies
Sugar Cookies

This weekend I will make Peanut Butter Cookies with a chocolate star in the middle.

In between sickness (well, and before) I have made over 25 dozen assorted cookies, 12 dozen bars, 12 dozen cupcakes, 2 cakes, so far, and a swear it seems like a million truffles and rumballs! (Now I do not work, so I can do this at all hours of the day and night) Husband brings all of it into work daily. They look forward to see what is on the treat plates everyday. :))

I loved watching the kiddos across the street discover
the huge basket of treats before their parents got home... :))

The kids and I made peppermint bark and oreo bark, as well as the puppy chow today. Then we switched to making ornaments. I plan to make copycat Cranberry Bliss Bars, fudge and pumpkin bread tomorrow.

Did you pin those? Ha ha ha... I have found a few recipes I want to try, if I rejoin the living.

I pinned the bliss bars and the ornaments. I was looking for a recipe in my stash of recipes for Christmas dinner and came across a couple more I want to make....gooey caramel corn and brown sugar cookies. I'm sure I will come across more as the week goes on.
