Texas Sen. Ted Cruz will announce on Wednesday afternoon that former presidential rival Carly Fiorina has agreed to be his running mate should he win the GOP presidential nomination.

I've always been a fan of Fiorina so I like this. Admittedly announcing it today shows desperation to garner media attention but Cruz has to do something at this point.
 
I like Carly as well, but Cruz is done. She'll have to settle being VP of his fan club I suppose.

As I've said before, I'll gladly support Cruz if he can pull it off. I like him and Carly both, but I'll also root for the Braves this year too. I just don't see how it's going to happen if Trump is so far ahead. It's just the numbers.
 
Desperate, definitely. I do not really like her so that does not make him appeal more to me.

Who picks their VP prior to winning? :confused: (especially in a race you are behind...I could see it if he was the clear winner)

Maybe not the most book smart. I do think Cruz is very book smart, highly educated, and would be a great asset to the Supreme Court.

He really needed, and maybe he still can, to work with a coach on his personality. There was a small glimpse of one when he was on Fallon. I really do not see him as winning if he does not appeal to a broader base than die hard campaigners/conservatives.

Don't take that as Trump being the better candidate.

Though a cross between Trumps charisma and Cruzs knowledge would be a good candidate. ;)
