David Austin Flyer...

I have a big problem with the very first bulletpoint on the flyer:

"Working... to create a new interchange at Third Army Road
to provide additional access to I-75."

(And another big problem with his arrogant behavior toward
concerned citizens during the entire toll road meeting issue.)

Your thoughts on the race for Chairman ? ? ?

I find them both a bit arrogant. But, that's just me. :laugh

David is a bit more approachable.

Boyd is great guy also once you get to know him. Both work hard for the citizens of this County and the City of Dallas.

David is the Commission Chair for all of Paulding. His Brother Boyd is the Mayor of Dallas.

Sorry... I got wound up and got the two confused. (correction made, insert red face.)

You know - I can't say anything bad about the guy. Is our county in worse shape since he took office? No. Is it in better shape? I honestly don't think it is, but I do think he's trying.

If he had not done some of the things he has done this county would be in far worse shape. JMO

I don't disagree - I think he's doing the best he can with what he has.

I don't see how a county commission chairman could influence the construction of an interstate exit on a federal highway that doesn't even run through his county. And said interchange either wouldn't be in Paulding at all or just minimally. But whatever.

I'm probably voting for Crowe because I'm just majorly unhappy with every single politician right now. I can't think of someone who represents me that I'm happy with.

Have you talked to him yet?

Which one? I haven't talked to Crowe and haven't talked to Austin in awhile.

I was asking about Crowe. I assumed you had at some point spoken with David.

I would vote for Tony Crowe based solely on
Austin's performance at the toll road meeting.

Does anyone have a link to the FULL video of that meeting ? ? ?
(I was there and the contempt displayed was pretty shocking.)

I will be basing my vote on how the County has weathered the economic downturn. I was against the toll road and T-SPLOST. I have told David so too. I am not convinced that Tony could manage the affairs of the county as well as David has. That is important to me because my home is here.

I'm voting for Tony, no questions asked. I like David to a point. Bullying people is not my kind of politician. We need a good honest Christian man and that is Tony. Besides, it doesn't look good when "some" present commissioners are not voting for David. What does that tell ya? For me, it tells me a lot.
