Facebook\'s Latest Stupid Change

The timeline format is aggravating as heck. Each time I scroll down the page of someone who has it, the page keeps going back to the top. It's especially aggravating when you're trying to post a comment to one of their posts. Why do they feel it's necessary to keep changing their formats?

I think about closing mine all the time, but it is easy to keep up the kids. I'm getting junk from SW Airlines from FB today on the e-mail.

I am an extrovert and am up on new technology. But FB just got to be such a PAIN and I HATE their non-privacy crap, so I finally deleted my account. Never been happier.

Change your settings. You only get e-mail if you agree to get e-mails. ;D

Facebook can be as open or as private as you want it to be. I have friends that are not search-able and look as though they do not have FB pages. They do. Their posts are made to specific people (which is fairly recent to be able to specify your status to that extent) and even friends of friends cannot see them. Now you really can't play games like that (because games want your info to reuse) but for them it is okay. If you go through FB and start "liking" lots of open pages, more of your info does get out.
I will say I wish more parents would look at their kids pages. I can pretty much tell you everything, including DOB, phone#, and address for most of the teens I am friends with.
I have my email and phone number available to my friends. They have that anyway, but I could make it private if I want. I know that some stuff FB just has. Its a given, but I also know that people do not reset or check their privacy settings much if at all. It is more private that some think.

I know, but I just got tired of dealing with it. PLUS, it was just a huge time-waster. And not nearly as fun as pinterest. ;)

I don't farm, yo, or bingo. I don't play any games. Like Fox, I just use FB to keep in touch with friends and family. I do know if you have https in the beginning of the address the "s" means it's secure. If you don't have that all those apps are gathering your info, all the time. Even if I try to go to an app, it tells me to remove the "s", I don't. :D

Go check in the address bar, if it just says http, you can change it.

I really don't care a lot for Facebook. I stay on there for my daughter and a few family members who are out of town, but I'm not very active.

I think I blocked the e-mails, I didn't know it was unblocked, thanks SD. I don't want apps and I don't do games, either. I keep getting some stupid game requests from a distant relative. I'm going to block her if she continues.

You don't have to block her, you can just block the app.

I think I blocked the app, I'm not sure. Navigating FB is not user friendly. I stripped down my page to basically nothing, information wise. If y'all wanted to know about me, you missed your chance. :neenerbutt. You would have been bored, anyway!

DHS via Facebook is monitoring and collecting data on your political speech.
There are also thousands of fake profiles used to track "problematic" words.

Really? I'm probably in big trouble with DHS. I shouldn't be surprised.

that is a virus, do not click on any links. I would also make sure your anti-virus is up to date.
