Fox, I have to admit I still like lava lamps. Have one, which I turn on from time to time.

How about Beta VCR decks? Used to have one of those too.

BetaMax was actually a superior system to VHF. But VHF won the marketing war.

Only because it was far less expensive.

Do you remember laser discs? They didn't last long.

Yep, have a good friend of mine who had quite the collection. That was leading edge stuff "back in the day." We knew Beta was the superior technology, and finally ended up with both VHS and Beta.

I'm still having problems because the camcorder I bought a few years ago is already using obsolete technology (mini-DV)!!!! It's getting hard to find tapes. Luckily I no longer use it that much. I'll probably bite the bullet when grand-kids come along and get a SDRAM based one.

I still carry a comb in my back pocket now that I have longer hair after retiring from the Army.
