Footloose

I watched Footloose last night. It was pretty strange seeing part of Hiram in the movie. I looked for people I know were in it as extras, but didn't recognize anyone. I'll have to watch it again to see if I can find spot anyone. I hadn't seen Andi McDowell in a movie in ages. I thought Dennis Quaid did a good job. Julianne Hough was pretty good in it. I really didn't recognize any of the other actors.

I wanna see it, I was just afraid they'd ghetto it up like that tend to do with remakes these days.

We saw it over Thanksgiving while we were visiting family in Texas. Fox, the Kia that passed the bus as it rolled into town was me!!! (Other than that, I was all over the cutting room floor. LOL)

As far as the movie goes....I LOVED it! I didn't expect to feel that way about a remake, but I thought they did a fabulous job. As far as acting, NOBODY can touch Kevin Bacon, but I enjoyed all the others (especially Julianne Hough!)

You know I did the other movie with Bill Murray, Robert Duvall, and Sissy Spacek. I will tell you, these actors had a real "presence" - I don't know any other way to describe it. Andi McDowell carries herself with such grace and poise, and she is beautiful. Dennis Quaid is an actor I don't find necessarily "attractive", but he is very striking in person. We weren't allowed very close contact with any of these actors, but I was in the front of the scene, and he walked by. A man tried to strike up a chat with him. He was very patient and gracious.

I enjoyed the movie and thought they did a good job; especially since it was a remake. I was impressed with Julianne Hough's acting, though I thought her "southern accent" was a little over the top, but that happens when people from north of the Mason-Dixon line try to talk southern. The guy who played Willie did a good job with his and he grew up in New Jersey. I read he also played the same role from the movie on stage.

I will put this on my Netflix list per y'alls recommendations,
I just love movies that have lots of good songs and dancing.

(I also loved "Get Low" mentioned above...
good flick, excellent acting, great location.)

I wanna see Footloose too! My friend (and her Kia) is famous!

I could have asked for more money if they hadn't superimposed that shoulder in front of me in my big scene with Sissy! :p

I want to see the movie too.

Also, just so you know, I caught myself singing "Footloose" while doing the dishes this afternoon....thanks a bunch! :))
