From CNN??

Romney isn't lying?? CNN ran this story??
The problems in labeling Romney a liar are several. First, he did not lie. His tax plan would not raise taxes on middle-class families. In fact, Princeton economist Harvey Rosen says the Obama administration is misrepresenting his study on Romney's tax plan.

Second, calling Romney a liar blatantly ignores the reality of the debate: the president's missing clothes and his terrible performance. While more than 60 million people witnessed the debate, the only people ignoring the president's performance are his advisers and his closest ideologues.

For four years Obama has been cosseted and insulated by the friendly mainstream media. His lack of interest in taking hard questions from the media and the media's lack of interest in asking hard question showed during the debate. He was unprepared for Romney's aggressiveness and forcefulness. One can now only wonder how prepared he has been for the presidency these past four years?

Third, if Romney was such a blatant liar, why didn't Obama say anything about it on stage during the debate? Obama couldn't put together a cogent defense of his own policies, let alone go on the offensive against Romney, which leaves little substance or truth to the case that Romney is a liar. Or as Andrew Sullivan wrote, "How do you erase that imprinted first image from public consciousness: a president incapable of making a single argument or even a halfway decent closing statement?"

I'm actually surprised by this coming from CNN. Is it possible they have seen the light; or is it because they have been getting their butts kicked in the ratings war with FoxNews?

Wow ... can it be ...in the story a little boy steps up to state the emperor has no clothes... :cantbelievemyeyes

Could it be CNN will act as the first voice to state the emperor has no clothes :yeah … so others will admit they too noticed, but were too intimidated,(or afraid they would not be granted admission into press conferences) to mention that fact?

Of course many will keep on keep'n on :sheepaid

It's clearly listed as an opinion piece. Even ABC and the Washington Post trot out George Will on occasion.

In other words, It's still the Communist News Network when it comes to "hard" <cough> news, but with a token conservative or two to write opinion pieces to make them look balanced.

Actually, CNN has gotten much better in recent years. I think they still lean left, but not nearly as much as they did. Compared to some of the others, they are pretty respectable now.

I've always gotten a laugh out of those who claimed Fox was "right wing". At best, Fox is centrist; they just seem right wing in comparison to the extreme leftist leaning of most of the mainstream media. Fox's ratings bear that out; their ideology (or perhaps the lack of one) in representative of a majority of the people in this country. Oh and, the news babes don't hurt either. ;D

They still chose what stories to run with a decidedly leftist tilt. If something is too big to ignore, they will do a fairly decent job with it though.

I keep saying CNN should move to the right to take over Fox's slot since they're steadily moving left (per my observation even 10 years ago, and recently, Roger Ailes's statement to same).

CNN has finally realized that when there is a Republican in the White House, their ratings are higher because they can spend 4 years complaining about everything instead of making excuses for a democrat for 4 years...
