The Paulding County Republican Women's Club will sponsor a debate among the Georgia District 31 Senate Candidates on June 5, 2012 at 7:00 PM. The debate will take place in the Becky and Hal Echols Room at the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce Building located at 455 Jimmy Campbell Parkway, Dallas, Georgia. AJC Political Insider, Jim Galloway, will moderate.

The announced candidates are Senator Bill Heath (I), Bill Carruth, former Paulding County Commission Chair, and Jason Rogers, chief investigator for the Cobb County Solicitor General. The debate is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend.

Just a bump to remind you about this event. If you live in Senate District 31 it is a great chance to find out how these candidates stand on issues.

They must not be expecting much of a crowd, that's their small meeting room on the main floor. You might get 20 people in it. I suspect it will be held downstairs.

It is on the lower floor and it seats about 90.

Your morning jolt: Casinos and ethics in an exurban state Senate race

9:56 am June 6, 2012, by jgalloway

When Senate District 31 was redrawn last year, it dropped Bartow County and picked up a larger slice of Paulding County.

The new lines have delivered unto Republican incumbent Bill Heath of Haralson County a total of two challengers, both from Paulding. A first debate of the trio was held Tuesday evening, hosted by the Paulding County Republican Women’s Club. Yours truly moderated.

...When I start imposing all of my values and all of my beliefs on you, I think I overstep my bounds. You’re smart people. You don’t need me telling you everything that you need to do, or you shouldn’t do. I think the people should decide these things – that it shouldn’t necessarily come from the top down.”...

Haven't had a chance to watch the video yet ... read part of the article.

Considering the question about owing money, it makes me wonder if that question was intended for that reason.
