I don't have much time, so I'll make this quick as I have a meeting to go to in a few. I flew down to Khandahar the night before last for a meeting yesterday. I had to sleep on the worst cot in my life. My flight back didn't leave until after midnight last night getting me back here at 0400. Both flights were on C-130's. The flight back we had to sit on the floor because cargo took up all the space. Khandahar has a hockey rink, TGI Fridays, Nathan J's, KFC, and Tim Horton Donuts. I brought back three dozen donuts and put them out for everyone in the J2. Needless to say, I'm their favorite guy for now. See ya'll later.

So you are comfortable? :laugh
Glad you posted! :hug

Good to hear from you Fox! I am sorry to hear about your travel experience. Hope things get more comfortable very soon. :pray

Save me a donut. There ain't nothin' like a good cup of coffee and a roll with a hole in the morning :DN

It seems odd to hear you mention these places I've only heard about on the news. Always great to hear from you. Do you get to carry a gun? :B_S

I carry an M-9 (Barretta 92F) when I travel, which is odd. You would think they would give me a rifle instead of a pistol. If attacked, I have to wait until they get within 50' to be accurate. That's not a comfortable distance to be from the enemy in a firefight. :laugh

Hopefully tomorrow I will find out when I leave for Herat. The only thing keeping me and my partner from going is not having rooms for us to live in. They have to give us two rooms because my partner is a female. Before you guys go "OOOOOHHHH" and all, she's married and not my type.

I have a Barretta 92. Pretty sweet. Donuts fix everything, just about.
