The difference being that the looting, rioting and general lawlessness was permitted by progressives in the past months with the intent to affect the election. Once the election is decided and there is nothing for the socialists politicians in these areas to gain by allowing the destruction of their cities, they will allow Trump to send in the National Guard and stomp it out.
