A Manhattan judge has sentenced disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried to 25 years in prison on Thursday.

I'm not so sure, since judge Kaplan is a US District judge, it sounds like this is a Federal case since it crosses state boundaries. Usually a federal sentence runs the full term with no time off for good behavior. The actual sentencing decree will state if and when he is eligible for parole, but I bet Biden will be coerced into giving him a pardon before he leaves office.

I wouldn't be surprised if he paid for the pardon months ago.
