I respectfully disagree with your entire post and this type of attitude is simply something that I don't understand. Who cares if Carruth hasn't attended each and every Republican party meeting in Paulding County lately? Is that REALLY the most important issue to you? There are many people in the area that choose not to attend these meetings and it really doesn't matter the reason, it is their decision. Once again, the Paulding Republican Party is not the ultimate "know all, be all." I can't speak for him but Carruth was probably out spending his time in what he believes to be a more productive manner.

There are many of us who consider ourselves Conservative Republicans who have never attended a Paulding Republican meeting and frankly, I have no intention of ever doing so. I simply don't need that group to tell me why and why not I should vote for someone and who is "less conservative" or "more conservative" than the other. I voted for the person I believe will be the best man for the job and that is Bill Carruth.

I voted for Heath last week. He is not evil or the lesser of two as some say. It is completely false and non-sense and I detest seeing and hearing that.

I hate it that you hate seeing it, but it is the opinion of some of us, just as you shared your opinion of Mr. Heath.

I also get tired of hearing what has he done for Paulding. Well you know, some in Haralson say the same thing. Well I have news for you all...District 31 covers 3 counties, not just one and no one county is above the other two. So now some of you will vote for Carruth so if he wins you'll be thinking, hey he's a county boy...well now Haralson and Polk will be asking, "What is Carruth doing for us now?"

I think we are ALL well aware that District 31 involves 3 counties. But for most of us discussing this race, our immediate area of concern is our home, which for most of us is Paulding.

Throwing out a Conservative is just plain wrong because of agendas. And yes, I said agendas...began elsewhere...I call it as I see and read it...and how many times has Carruth ever step foot in any of the local GOP meetings, etc. in the past 5 years? Once and that is only because he is running and even that, he attended zero debates besides the forum in June at the Chamber...he missed all of the GOP meetings except for one since Jan 1 and never attended before that. Heath rarely has missed any meetings,including Haralson and Poke and is involved more than you think like money he has given to the PCHS football as an example.

Agenda? I have zero agenda. What's yours? I don't care how many meetings Carruth or Heath attend. I've attended quite a few. Heath has been there, but NEVER spoken to me.
Maybe he should have saved some of his money for the Hiram Football program. I might have changed my mind about him. :cheer1
Heath needs to be MORE than just a "conservative". And we have each, once again, shared our opinion. But, here's a fact for you . . . I am angry with Heath and he has lost ALL of my respect.

One needs to think of the whole picture instead of using their emotions as their guide. Emotions were done already in 2008 at the national level and look what we got.

Republicans vote out RINOs and corrupt politicans, not Conservatives. Heath is a conservative and not corrupt in any fashion.

You really need to tone down your posts and season them with a little more grace. Your opinions would be a bit better received if you didn't "attack" everyone that disagrees with you. It seems that most of the time you come out of the corner with your boxing gloves on, ready to fight.
Remember the old saying "Honey catches more flies than vinegar".

PCGOP, Heath has done some underhanded things during this election. The flyer with the picture of Carruth and Obama did it for me, what BS. He hurt himself more with his negative campaign than anything Carruth could have said about him. Paulding county has never been in one district. In fact when I first moved here we were part of Polk and Nathan Dean did as much for Paulding as he did for Polk, he was always around attending and helping at community functions.

Just keep in mind what ever happens today is going to effect us all and in the end, we'll all still be neighbors.

We're all quite aware the district is made up of three counties and as Madea has stated, we live here in Paulding and we want someone who will represent our interests.

You gave your opinions about Heath and many of our opinions about him differed from yours. So what? That's what is great about this country we live in; we can disagree when it comes to poliltics. It's just a darn shame some people have to get insultive with those they disagree with, which isn't necessary at all. Do you honestly believe when it comes to local politics, you're always right and everyone who disagrees with you is wrong? It sure seems that way.

I honestly hope Heath loses for a lot of reasons. I don't think he represents the district well at all and I don't find him to be an honorable man at all. He definitely lacks integrity because he will say and do anything to win.

I hope he loses. For all the reasons I have stated in the past, but primarily because I fear that if he wins this race, he will have forever created an environment that no one will ever have the courage to run against him again.
