I won a Glock...need some advice

Okay, at the 3rd annual Paulding County Public Safety Appreciation Day that happened yesterday, I won the raffle for a Glock firearm. I am not sure which model to get. A friend of mine states I should get the Gen4 27 .40 cal. But I am only 5'3" and have small hands.

Glock, Inc. has given me some choices.

I can get a G-17/19/26 (9x19)
or...
G-22/23/27 (.40)
or
G-31/32 or 33 (.357)

All of the above models I can also get them as the new GEN4 models.

What do you all think?

Thanks.

I'd go with the G26. It's much lighter and easier to carry concealed. The size will also work better for those with smaller hands. Though a .40 carries a good wallop when it hits someone, the weight (even for a Glock) is bothersome when carrying it concealed. I plan on buying a G26 when I return home.

I have a S&W 4006 (.40) and it's really kind of big for my hands, it weighs too much and it's very difficult to carry concealed.

I have no advice. I just thought I'd comment that I'm jealous. I'd love a new handgun.

:neenerbutt I was so surprised when I was standing there and when they said "Is there a Christopher... and before he said my last name, I said no way...and then he said my last name. I was just as surprised as anyone to be honest, Madea.

That is what I will get, Fox. I read some reviews and liked what I read. I will get the Gen4-26, 9mm.

Good choice.

i chuckled cause you won a fire arm at a safety function

but congrats!!!

I too would go with the G26. I carry a .45, but to me, any pistol .40 or above is not a fun plinker gun. I went with the .45 because I have metal doors in my house and I figured a round like that would go not only through one of the doors but would also go through the intruder/Jehova witness/zombie that is behind said door. Besides, at 5'3", the .45's barrel would drag the ground when holstered. Sorry, I couldnt help it. I'm morbidly obese and shouldnt poke fun, especially at someone that just won a Glock. Now that I think of it, that was probably a real bad idea. You wanna be BFF's?

I have a GREAT idea, get the G26 .45acp and I'll trade ya for my S&W3913 compact .9mm!

Sounds like a great trade to me! :)

I'll even throw in a couple boxes of practice ammo!

We both carry G32. I love it, but she has a harder time concealing it. The G26 is her next purchase. Will this be for carry or HD?

It will be for both carry and HD. I have a license to carry.
