Our friend cptlo did a great job once before explaining why the Dems would prefer Trump to be the Republican candidate. Biden won't be the Dems candidate because his numbers suck, and it's evident to everybody he's suffering from Dementia. Even you have agreed the Democratic candidate will most likely be Michelle Obama or Gavin Newsome.

Now look at the coverage the news media is giving Trump. I'd say more than 95% of it is about his legal problems, not his political platform. This type of news coverage will continue with him as a candidate. It will cause Trump to lose. The candidate the Dems don't want to see as the Republican nominee is DeSantis. DeSantis has accomplished much more as a governor than Trump did as president. Whereas DeSantis has made Florida a very successful state, Newsome has killed California. DeSantis scares the Democratic Party.

DeSantis served his country during a time of war. Trump got a doctor to help him be 4-F, preventing him from being drafted and sent to Vietnam, making Trump no better than all those draft dodgers who went to Canada. If you keep believing Trump really puts the country ahead of himself, you're only fooling yourself.

I think you're wrong on this. Many prominent democrats have stated publicly they want Trump as the nominee since he is a major motivator for democratic voters and likely to lose to any democrat not named Biden (and probably even Biden). They see how many republicans have rallied around him due to the dems going after him so much.

The dems are dumb on policy but they are very smart when it comes to scheming to win elections.

Sounds like we have some political geniuses here. Ya’ll need to come out of retirement or quit your current job and run the Republican Party. That would solve all of our country’s problems. Stop yapping and start doing…good grief.

Saying that we have boarded our ship for the cruise just waiting to sail. My phone will be on airplane mode for most of the week and I fully expect to return to see DS leading in all polls and Trump in jail. Don’t let me down, the country is counting on ya’ll.

I’m still pulling for FSU to get into the playoffs. My understanding is their attorneys are filing an injunction, at least that’s the last I heard.

LOL Good luck with that. I think they should have been in as well, but suing to get in is nuts.
 
Prediction: In the coming weeks, Trump and his people will start making comments about how the vote in Iowa likely won't be fair and perhaps even that Governor Reynolds will somehow interfere with the vote to help DeSantis win Iowa. Trump will then argue that DeSantis cheated to win Iowa instead of accepting that he got beat by DeSantis.

No, I'm not drunk or delusional. :D

I don’t doubt it either, I mean if the governor of FL can threaten to sue over his state’s team not making the CFP then a POTUS candidate can certainly complain about election issues.

(And I almost forgot…Roll Tide!!!)
