Let’s wait and see if any actually reached a target or were intended to miss but provoke Trump. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a serious matter but I’ve not yet seen a report of damage or casualties.

We’ll know more tomorrow after the sun is up over there, I pray there are no casualties and minimal property damage. We should all hope Iran avoids a “Forgive them Father for they know not what they do” moment.

NY Times article on the Crash

A Ukrainian Boeing 737-800 airliner carrying at least 176 people crashed shortly after takeoff from Tehran on Wednesday, killing everyone on board.

It was unclear what caused the crash of the aircraft, a Ukraine International Airlines flight bound for Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital. Early statements from both countries were confused and contradictory.

The disaster happened against the backdrop of the escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, which on Tuesday fired missiles at two bases in Iraq that house American troops, but there was no immediate indication that the plane had been shot down or otherwise attacked.

The Iranian Students’ News Agency, a state-run media organization, shared a video it said showed the predawn crash, with an aircraft, apparently in flames, descending in the distance before a bright burst filled the sky upon impact.

Qassem Biniaz, an official at the Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, told the Islamic Republic News Agency, the government’s official news agency, that an engine caught fire and the pilot was unable to regain control. Ukraine International Flight 752 left Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran at 6:12 a.m. on Wednesday and lost contact at 6:14 a.m., according to a flight tracker.

Iran got their hand slapped to remind them of what they want to avoid if they target US Citizens to try to affect our elections. (Hey can the Democrats impeach Iran's President for interference? )

They sent a bunch of expensive face saving missiles aimed for empty space after warning the Iraqis and us they were coming.

Should be back to normal terrorist attacks soon.
 
I think it was a coordinated and "allowed" response for Iran to show their disapproval of taking out their general but in a way that didn't cause casualties or direct damage to facilities. It's not unusual for agreements to be reached in a similar manner, especially when a wider conflict can be avoided. Now, saying that, do I think Iran is done? No, absolutely not, but that holds true regardless of recent actions. They will continue to be a pest and a danger but hopefully remain on a short leash.

Hopefully a shorter leash after the hand slap.
 
I did hear Trump sort of politely left the door open to Iran to negotiate lifting of some sanctions... or not having so many more put on them.
