It ain't going to happen

Five hundred literary figures are demanding Penguin Random House cancel its book deal with Justice Amy Coney Barrett. In their hypocritical statement, they claim to support free speech...but.

"We recognize that harm is done to a democracy not only in the form of censorship, but also in the form of assault on inalienable human rights," the letter states. "As such, we are calling on Penguin Random House to recognize its own history and corporate responsibility commitments by reevaluating its decision to move forward with publishing Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s forthcoming book."

In other words, they wish to cancel the voices of conservatives.

We are a Constitutional Republic, and therefore we have constitutional rights... also known as ... the First Amendment... that gives us the right to free speech.

I wish these liberal hacks would stop saying we are a democracy... because we are not... but the sheeple don't know any better so they believe we are a democracy, and they will agree to the censorship of anything the left yells loudly enough about.

Directv replaces Newmax with The First. I've never heard of The First but apparently it is a right leaning streaming service.

The question I would like to see answered is what the viewership numbers were on Newsmax? If it was a dud, I really can't blame AT&T for axing it. But if it was purely political, it sucks.

Not just viewership numbers but also how much Newsmax was attempting to charge AT&T. Given that they replaced it with The First, it doesn't appear to be a political issue.
