It is really hard to try and say that as a society, we have moved past the "dark ages", especially when there are idiots like this sitting on a judicial bench.
I know it's California, but still.
Judge cuts child rapist's sentence by 15 years, saying he had not meant to hurt the 3-year-old child victim
Kevin Rojano was convicted of sodomizing a child younger than 10 and lascivious acts with a minor, and he was initially sentenced to 25 years to life in prison.
But Judge M. Marc Kelly trimmed 15 years off Rajano's sentence, saying it would be cruel and unusual punishment to impose the maximum prison term because the 20-year-old lacked "callous disregard for (the victim's) well-being:.
"In looking at the facts if Mr. Rojano's case, the manner in which this offense was committed is not typical of a predatory violent brutal sodomy of a child case," the judge claimed in his decision. "Mr. Rojano did not seek out or stalk )the victim). He was playing video games and she wandered into the garage. He inexplicably became sexually aroused but did not appear to consciously intend to harm (the victim) when he sexually assaulted her."
CA Judge is a MORON
I guess the 3 year old girl was "asking for it" according to the way this judge thinks.
How many want to place bets that if the truth were known, Judge Kelly has, or wanted to, "play doctor" with a few little girls his self?
The good news is that the judge has been asked to step down.
The bad news is, he has done stuff like this in the past where sexual assault cases were concerned.
Ohhhh, it's also bad news that good ole Judge Kelly can't spend a few days with the boys in cell block D.
Perhaps that may change his mind about having anal sex forced on you.
