I had given up on network television several years ago and have not watched it. I tried watching "The Middle" and stopped that after the language just became too much for the "family hour".
This week I did watch the new Tim Allen series, "Last Man Standing". Although it seems like it is not getting the best reviews I will watch it again. It relates easily to his former show ("Home Improvement") character "Tim the Tool Man", (men grunt here).
The most interesting and entertaining part to me was his wife's character. She had been a stay at home mom for several years and just returned to the work force, was quickly promoted and announces she will be spending more time at work. Allen's character has found he has less to do at work.
After I watched 2 one-half hour episodes I became quite envious of you women who work outside the home. Allen is dealing with his 3 daughters' problems most of the time. The mom is seen sipping a glass of wine in the living room and patio. She is getting herself ready for work in the morning whilst Allen deals with daughters. At the end of the show she is shown placing a bowl of salad and salad bowls on the dining table. Not once is she shown doing any housework, laundry, cooking, etc.
According to this show, you working girls have got it made!
