Lithia Springs?

You could build a Virtual Presence of yourself to leave in Decatur and telecommute from someplace nice in Rome,,, have no commute at all!!!

You could get another job closer to where you want to live.

I could but I'm happy with this job and, assuming they don't fire me for posting on the Hwy during the day, I plan to stay for a while.

I'm just going to have to open up the wallet a little more. Not a huge deal I guess since real estate always goes up in value....right? :)

Everywhere but Lithia Springs it seems.

Another question for the real estate experts here.....does this look like a modular home (modular...not manufactured/mobile...I have experience with those)? Here are two pics. First image is present day. Second image is from some point in the past.

Thanks!!

I'm no expert, but I don't think its modular. First the bump out on the back. Modulars would likely have a hip roof on that end to eliminate a trimmed out gable. Secondly, it appears to have an attic HVAC unit. I doubt a modular would use that system when a crawl space unit is an option. Lastly, (not about modular), the garage looks like an after the build add on. If you look at the front door and surmise what the floor plan is,,, you realize the garage is on the wrong end of the house, and I don't think the original builder would do that. They would have flipped the floor plan.
Pluses are, nice looking, small enough to heat and cool easily, nice looking neighborhood, built in cat pen under the front porch and all under ground utilities. A check must be made for the availability of 130 meg fiber optics.

I think it's stick built. It wasn't uncommon to build simple homes on a raised crawlspace back in the 50's to the early 80's.

Thanks. According to the listing, it was built in 1995.

One listing site lists the 'Type' as 'Modular' which is what makes me wonder.

Here's the listing with many more pics: https://www.realtor.com/realestatea...arter-Rd_Powder-Springs_GA_30127_M58602-79183

Could be. Personally I don't have a problem with panel fab. The first thing that caught my eye was the huge span of ceiling. I'd have to go up in the attic and see if it was built for that or if that was a remodel.

Well, so much for that house. It's already under contract. It was just posted for sale 3 days ago. :-(
