My neighbors are really starting to annoy me

Why on earth should I have to deal with their dogs (and their poop/pee) in my yard? This is an ongoing issue with more than 1 neighbor. It's not a matter of their dogs just happen to get out of their yard. One never ties, contains, restricts his dog ... another intentionally lets his two out the front door to run ... and I have no clue what the story is with the other dog that keeps turning up.

Are you in a subdivision? If so, is there an HOA you can appeal to? More suggestions pending your answers...

Think of it this way. It could be worse. You could live next door to me.

The County does have a leash law that applies to ALL pets, including cats. Take pictures and call animal control, they will file a complaint with the pet owners.

shoot them with a bb gun. and then a paintball gun. and then mace.

eventually they'll get the message.
Great advice. Any ideas of things to do to their dogs?

There's a guy in my subdivision who bought a yellow lab awhile back. He would let his dog run all over the place and it would always poop and pee in his neighbor's yard. His neighbor would scoop the poop up with a shovel and toss it back into the dog owner's yard. He talked to the dog's owner several times about it. Finally, the dog's owner put up a privacy fence around the backyard to keep the dog in. I had a few discussion myself with the dog's owner and told him he should be courteous and take the dog out on a leash to do its business.

The neighbor that lets his dogs race out his front door has a really nice 6' privacy fence all around his back yard.

We had a neighbor that did that. I finally was voted on as the person to go speak with them. (love my cul de sac peeps! :)) ) I advised them that they might want to use that beautiful fenced back yard they have for their dogs as the cul de sac is now getting their lawns sprayed (to make them prettier of course) with poison that could potentially fatally harm their dog when they decide to let it use our lawns as a toilet. They now hate us, but use their own yard. Oh well.

This same neighbor also took it upon himself to come onto our property and spray nasty chemicals on a big area of kudzu on our property, right next to the creek. The creek that feeds a trout stream that is protected. Now aside from the "what were you thinking" aspect of spraying that crap by the creek ... my son and I make jelly from the kudzu blossoms. What if we had processed the blooms before they had a chance to die off?
