Remember the Real ID?
I got mine in Georgia in 2013.
I got to San Diego in 2018 and they were just starting to issue them at the DMV... in fact they knew so little about it that they were not sure which documents they needed. I brought everything, but was told my documents probably did not qualify, even though they could not tell me why they did not qualify. I had the rules for the needed documents required printed out with me and showed them. They said I probably would not be issued a California Real ID, but instead, a standard CA Driver's License. Even though they could see I had a Georgia Real ID.
In the end, when my license arrived in the mail, it WAS a CA Real ID... boy was I surprised!
I go into this story because, CA still is not requiring anyone to get a Real ID, I am shocked how few people have one, and when they go to renew their license, they are not even applying for it or made to provide documents to get it. Many say they don't know what that is.
Not sure how they will fly on airplanes after May 7, of 2025 ... but with 11million more illegal aliens jumping our border, added to the 20 million, I guess the government may never enforce the Real ID like they said they would.
My point is the government can make up, delay, or get rid of any rule that they want. We the people have very little say anymore. We are no longer living in a country that follows our Constitution.
9 states have pushed through the effen green agenda with no way to support any of it because the technology is not there.
California is throwing down the gauntlet and saying One year and 9 months to no longer sell gasoline powered cars.
California, a state who can't even keep the lights on due to lack of electricity. Newsom and the rest of the legislators are clowns.
