OH, I feel your pain. I hate conferences :(

I don't like the either...looks like I'm going to have to get back to going to class with him again to get him through 8th grade

Daughter's conference was yesterday! It was WONDERFUL (see my FB posting about how awesome she is :)) )

However, I also have a son and feel your pain.

problem with mine is that he is 2 1/2 years from graduating (if he will get his head out of his rectal cavity that is) and he just has this horrible apathetic attitude about EVERYTHING. I don't know what to do with him

I'm about to head out for my conference. My 6th grader hasn't been in public school before now, so he is experiencing a transition. Overall, he's doing better than I expected. That is....unless I find out some surprises in a few minutes!

My daughter has always been a great student...never ever have had any issues with her and school work. My son since he started school has always hated it. He thinks school is a waste of time..he only likes to go to socialize. He absolutely hates doing school work. He had been doing pretty well up until last year but I think puberty hit and it's been downhill from there..lol Well he knows that the conference today decides his baseball playing days effective immediately and whether or not I start attending class with him again.

I miss those days. In high school they only want to talk to you if your child is doing bad and since mine hyperventilates over a B I don't get to go.

It sounds like your life mirrors mine. That is EXACTLY my son's attitude toward school. He thinks he is way too busy to be wasting his time there.
