My daughter has always been a great student...never ever have had any issues with her and school work. My son since he started school has always hated it. He thinks school is ua waste of time..he only likes to go to socialize. He absolutely hates doing school work. He had been doing pretty well up until last year but I think puberty hit and it's been downhill from there..lol Well he knows that the conference today decides his baseball playing days effective immediately and whether or not I start attending class with him again.

It sounds like your life mirrors mine. That is EXACTLY my son's attitude toward school. He thinks he is way too busy to be wasting his time there.
How old is he again?

11 going on 30

LOL. Hopefully it will get better. He will realize that school is important if he wants to do all the other things.

Luckily, I have my daughter to prove that I'm not a bad parent. :))

yeah me to!!!

Well conference wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. yes he is failing a class and it is because of missing assignments that he was just to lazy to turn in. We have once again set rules for his homework issues. He has 2 weeks to prove he can handle it the new way or it's back to sitting in class with him again. One thing his science teacher told me was he is a social butterfly...said she can't get him to be quiet in her class. He has never been a talker in school. So I asked his other teachers if he was talking in their class to and they all say no, he just sits off to himself and daydreams (nothing unusual). So I asked him why he was talking in science class and his response...Im cool at my group table..lol lol I had to bite back a smile and keep my mom face on.

So his teachers are confident we can get his grades up if we can get him focused so we'll see what happens in the next two weeks to a month and if I will have to attend class with him or not. I will keep saying over and over...THIS TO SHALL PASS!
