Great news for Paulding County! Chairman Carmichael, Tabitha Pollard, and James Stokes have made a very informative video about how taxpayers can participate in this year's budget process. The best thing, however, is Chairman Carmichael is proposing a rollback of the millage rate from 6.07 to 5.65. People ask how he can do that? Remember our tax base comes mainly from real estate not sales tax. For once this has worked in our favor! It is great to have something happy and positive to share.

Sorta makes Bill Corrupt's allegations about Carmichael's tax increases evaporate, eh?
 
Ha! Just wait until you get your new valuations before you celebrate. That rollback is mandatory unless they have the public meetings if the tax base goes up.

I know we were sent a letter saying they were coming to re-evaluate our house this year. Somehow I doubt it went down.
