I have a son-in-law that does that.
We used a crime scene tech to take all of our photos for the Pioneers' CDs. They looked really nice except for those yellow outlines of our bodies.

LOL Lil' Bro! A newspaper photog took our wedding pictures and they were free.

We used a photographer for our wedding that did a great job. She took tons of pictures, had an assistant who took even more. Then she sends you a DVD with all the pictures on it. You pay her a flat fee (ours was $200 I believe for several hours work) - and that is it.
If you want, she can touch them up, and print them out, put them in a book, etc. That sort of thing is extra, but we liked to take care of that part ourselves. We used Snapfish to print up our own book, and we did our own editing.

My son and his wife used her as well, and they were also pleased with the results.

This is important! The photographer is one of the most important aspects of the entire wedding. You'll forget half of what happened by the next day (unless of course your new BIL gets drunk (in a dry reception hall) and pulls a knife on the best man while he's trying to change clothes). But the memories will be forever preserved by the photographer! DO NOT SKIMP ON THIS!!! (My wedding album was over $1000 21 years ago.)
And my Dad's favorite from our wedding was the wedding coordinator. He didn't see the need for her until rehearsal. Afterwards he was very happy she had been there!

yes us wedding coordinators are sometimes felt not needed till the actual event. I have lots of parents of the bride or groom come to me after the wedding was over and say..Thank the good Lord you was here or we wouldn't have made it without you. Makes me feel good when that happens, means I did my job =) I have known GD's daughter since she was a wittle girl so I'll be putting extra special attention into this one as if it was my own daughters wedding =) The only downfall is I'll have to be nice to GD outside of work :sick :laugh
