Police-involved shooting in Wisconsin prompts violent protest: report

This story and many others prove that a lot of people are looking for the slightest reason to start riots. Where do these riots always start? Need I say more?
 
Seems like if he had a gun in the car that he was going for, the police would have announced that already in an effort to slow the riots.
 
I saw the video. This was a domestic so there was every reason to stop him from getting into the car with those kids. But I can't help but think that the cop who shot him thought he had his taser instead of his firearm. I cannot even make it compute that an officer would shoot a man in the back at point blank range while holding his shirt like that. If he did, he deserves whatever he gets. It does make sense that he would use a Taser in that situation.

And so far there is absolutely no reason to believe the guy was armed. It looked as if his intent was to get in the car and leave.
 
I’m over analyzing police shootings. Like my grandparents taught me, when you mess with the law sometimes you end up dead. Life lesson 99 - don’t break the law but if you do then make sure you comply when the law catches up with you. That one lesson has kept me alive for several decades now. Accidents, misjudgments, bad decisions happen to good guys and bad.

My parents taught us to respect police officers and to be polite to them. Whenever I got pulled over, I would call them "Sir" and apologize for going to fast. It kept me from getting tickets as well. When I was a LEO, if I pulled someone over for a moving violation, I started with the intent of giving them a warning. If they disrespected me in anyway; they got the ticket.
 
Just pointing out that you can't grab an unarmed man by the shirt and shoot him in the back point blank because he just scuffled with your partner and is trying to leave. Apparently a lot of apologists believe otherwise.

On another note. Do you think we would have ever even known about this if the man was white? I'm of the opinion that if you are a bad cop you don't generally confine yourself to only abusing one race.
 
Wonder how many non-blacks are victims of being shot by black LE? Is anyone counting those numbers or is it like COVID numbers, just whatever sounds good this week?

That's why I like baseball, they have a stat for everything imaginable. They probably have a stat for just how many stats there are.

How stupid does one need to be to chase and assault someone with this kind of weapon?

Three shot, with two of them killed.

Truth be told I haven't watched the video and have no plans to do so. I've heard two sides of the story though, one that a gunman was shooting at protesters and the other that a victim of the rioters shot in self-defense. Either way.....that's what sometimes happens when you're out late at night participating in riots and looting. I can't say I feel sorry for any of them, none of them should have been there under those circumstances in the first place. If they worked a job 8-12 hours a day they would have been home getting some rest.

My takeaway from the video: don't bring a skateboard to a gun fight
