People on both sides of the aisle are going to believe what they want to believe about a person or current event. I read and heard it with each President, many celebrities, and most major news stories. No one is having their minds changed whether facts are presented or not. They will put their spin (and truly believe in what they say) on anything that does not line up with their opinion or facts presented. People have a way they believe influenced by their upbringing, the people around them, the part of the country they live and their religious beliefs. While I, and I am sure others, are flabbergasted at what some believe to be true at times, it is how it is and will never change.

While you are correct that there are partisans on both sides; I believe the Democrats are by far the most mislead at this point in time. There is a dark force in control of their party and they are pulling out all stops to spread lies and misinformation. Ironically, I believe they are doing tremendous damage to their own party by demonstrating so much ignorance and hatred.

I'm on several other forums you are not on, some of them private. I'm a member of a dozen or so private Facebook pages. You can't see most of my Facebook news feed because of how I have it set. Not sure if you look at the local poop hole forum (I suspect you do), but the ugliness there is much worse than what Obama ever saw. At least the parts regarding his family or that has no basis in fact. And you run in very different circles than I do. Not better or worse, just different.

You've never heard me say anything bad about Obama's children, or Chelsea aside from the adult Chelsea when she inserted herself into politics (and then she is fair game so long as it's relevant). I really don't recall any other conservatives slamming the Dem's children. Michele inserted herself into politics to some degree when started the horrible school lunch standards, and also by some of the racist statements she's made. That makes her fair game to an extent. And regarding Obama's religion and birthplace; he, himself fueled the controversy by the way he handled things and by statements he made. But I think that was an intentional diversion.

Before Trump even took office, digs were taken at his little boy, including an allegation that he was autistic. People are refusing to do business with Trump's children simply because they are his children. Melania was slammed for saying the Lord's Prayer. It goes on and on.

Women were not paid to claim they were raped by Obama or Hillary. We didn't have a news media with a massive agenda (neener) against Hillary or Obama. I have never heard of a case of conservatives paying demonstrators or rioters (at least in recent history). I have never seen entire major news outlets declare war on a president like this. And I have never seen this large of a highly organized effort to destroy a man and his family.

I know some of the right say ugly things, especially the more partisan ones. But as a general rule; the right has a bit more class than the left does. I don't see conservatives rioting and looting. I don't see conservatives protesting to the extent that the left has. I don't see conservatives wearing vagina hats or advocating the killing of unborn children.

The Democrats have pushed race relations back decades. They are intentionally dividing us, and their loyal followers have perpetuated this hateful strategy.

But the hate from the left this time around has been the worst I've seen yet in politics. The depth of the personal attacks, and fact that it is so highly organized from the top is what strikes me about it. It started while Obama was in office with the strategy of division the DNC adopted. And it continues to get worse. The Republicans are far from innocent, but I don't see them trying to tear the country apart like the Dems are.

Ya know...I could turn this around on you and say you like to look at things through rose colored glasses. Seeing things, and really seeing them for what they are can be two very different things.

I do try to be optimistic and see others side of claimed outrage or slight. Sometime I can, sometimes I can not, but I am always will to try. And I make a point of trying not to generalize. Not all of anything is exactly the same, even if the ones we disagree with might be yelling loudly, they are all not yelling. When we clump them all together we just create more issues because then people are on the defense. Sigh, it is a never ending cycle and I see no point of unity in sight.
