I think my boss is angry with me, or at least resenting me due to the fact I will be leaving for at least 12 weeks if not longer when BabyB gets here. I can't figure out any other reason for his..... snarkiness?.... I don't know how to describe it. This is the same one that I posted about that said "mute" instead of "moot".
I have always had a great, friendly relationship with him, knowing where the boss/employee line is. Fact is, I have worked for these two men since I was 21, except for the year I left and took the Chattanooga job. But I came back in 2009 after the lay off. 3 people can't work together this long and not be friends. Our colleagues in other states joke that I am like a "house mom" for them.
Anyway, of the two, one I do expect nasty remarks from. The other, never. I just called to ask if I could quote a project since engineering is in MN and the end user/plant is in FL. Both are out of our territory, and the last time I went against my better judgment and quoted in TN, we were reprimanded for crossing territory lines by our principle. So, the response I got was, "Well, there is nothing else going on, is there? You have nothing else to do. We hve to get orders to make money." And so on... he implied I am trying to get out of working.
WTH??? I reminded him of the TN incident and explained that I don't care to do it, but would rather not get us in trouble again.
Ugh.
