If you're looking for something to do Sunday may I suggest the Royal Alpaca Challenge at the Conyers Horse Park (free admission and free parking). It's very entertaining if you're interesting in learning about all things Alpaca including breeding and processing of their fiber. I went for the first time today and really found it interesting, going back tomorrow to meet some friends. I was shocked to learn some of the male breed studs sell for $30k and that their fiber is in such high demand.

I read a book awhile back and the main character owned alpacas and some sheep and had Great Pyrenees dogs to guard them from coyotes and such. The bulk of the story took place at such an event as this one, and I had never considered their fibers, etc., before I read about them, either. I would love to go, but dang - not in the mood to drive out to East Egypt.

Only the redneck ones. :laugh

Generally only the pregnant females spit on the males to let them know they're not interested. Come to think about it, they does sound a lot like a redneck.

About the only thing I have ever heard about them was that they would spit at you.

And you are right, they do sound a lot like some of the women I have been after.

They're so adorable! Wishing I felt better cuz this is something I'd love to see. Thank you for sharing your pics with us! :)
