Senator Nathan Dean

When I first started attending the Paulding Chamber of Commerce meetings when I opened my first business, he made an effort to come over to me and say hello and shake my hand. He saw I was new to the meeting. Over the years when I saw him out in public, he always had a smile and a hello. He was the last of the great politicians!

I never had the pleasure of meeting him, but was represented by him for a while. I have never heard anything but good things about him. I wish the best for his family.

So very true.

Nathan was a truly GOOD man. He was humble and full of integrity. The only people who didn't like him were people I didn't really care for either. ;)

He has left an incredible legacy. I'm so very sad for his family. :(

I was raised to believe something different about the man. I wish I could have known the man for myself without the influence of what appears to be a wrong assessment.

He was a member of the old Dixiecrats. Democrats that actually cared about their constituents. He realized the more he did for people, the more votes he got. He didn't have to buy them with $$$, he bought them with kindness, integrity and fought down at the Capitol to make sure he could get all he could for the people in his district. I had the honor of seeing this first hand when my son paged one day on the Senate floor.
