Shooting at Atlanta School

It's Price Middle School. SWAT team there now, and just arrived, so possible the shooter still inside. One 14 yo shot in the head. Started about one hour ago. School in lockdown and they won't let parents have their children.

They just said it's in the "Carver cluster" near Turner Field.
 
I think they are in the same cluster. Initial reports said the shooter was in custody and that a teacher was also injured.

They are now reiterating that. Teacher treated and released at scene. 14yo girl transported talking and conscious.

One troublesome item is that they've stated the girl was shot outside of the school. It was still during school hours. But, one child texted his father that he was 20 ft from the shooting. There is some indication they were changing classes.

They JUST changed it to the victim is male.

One person (newsreporter) asked "how could this happen? how could they get gun in school?" Well, let's see. Do you have metal detectors?
 
A man came out with a bull horn to relay the information about school release. When he finished news reporters were trying to get him to "identify himself". He didn't. Reporter asked if he was the principal. Reporter asked one parent what the principal's name was. Parent responded "I don't know his damn name". Really? I have always known the name of my children's principals and could readily identify him or her.
 
Important lessons that begin at home:

- proper English
- respect for self and others
- value of human life

One child has apparently texted the wounded child's name to a parent. The parent shared with the reporter, but the reporter hasn't shared.
