Sweden, Which Never Had Lockdown, Sees COVID-19 Cases Plummet as Rest of Europe Suffers Spike

Bingo.

Because they simply let it burn thru and didn't make it political. (which is rare for Sweden.)

Meanwhile here, the politicians in all of their collective hubris, screwed the pooch. (so to speak.)

I like this from the comments section:

Well, let's see... round up to 668,000 total world-wide deaths divided by 7,800,000,000 people. Death rate of...Wait for it!... 000085%. That's not even a number. So we destroyed the world's economy, threw millions of people out of work, shuttered millions of businesses, destroyed lives, terrorized children, for WHAT? The people pushing this should be put against a wall. If it wasn't being trumpeted 24/7 on the pharma owned news, you wouldn't have even HEARD ABOUT IT! END THIS INSANE TYRANNY NOW!

This is what I thought I saw about it in the news. At some point their plan backfired and things got bad. It's a real shame we don't have a MSM that investigates and provides facts. I do think that the path taken in this country did save lives and that we now have workable techniques to combat normal winter flu outbreaks. I would love to see factual numbers based on per capita data for Covid, Swine flu and Hong Kong flu that would tell me total cases and and death rate per case. Lets get an idea how bad or not so bad Covid actually is before we decide how much was too much risk reduction.

NO, they have continued to live and yet protect, as much as they can, their elderly and medically fragile.

Just like the H1N1, the virus will make people sick.

As the rest of the nations come back out of their lock down, there is a rise in the sickness and death again... in the end, it looks like we will all end up at the same point/numbers as Sweden, however they did not kill their economy.

Sweden has experienced some recession because the rest of the world did lockdown and crash their economies which hurt trade Sweden relies on. Unless everyone stays home for the next year or two until there is not virus, people will continue to get sick, sadly some will not survive the virus.

Each time a city or state opens the sicknesses start all over again in the USA and around the world. Sweden has relied on getting to herd immunity and to the extent they can protect with social distancing and smartly keeping the fragile at home safe.

That's not their job. The job of the MSM is to elect and direct leftists.
