The Battle Of The Leaves

As many of you know, I live in the woods. This time of the year, the leaves are serious business.

I've been busy the last three Saturdays and haven't been able to blow. Boy did I have a mess!

But 4 hours and some outdoor power equipment later, I think I won this battle anyway. Thankfully, it looks like 90% of them have fallen now.

We have one small sad tree in the front. No leaves to worry about. Although, we are looking to plan about 3 trees in the next few weeks. Probably be more of a problem for the next owners.

Congrats on getting them cleaned up! Mulch, compost, or did they end up in the "natural" section?

Ground up the front yard with the mower.

Blew the rest into the woods.

Had a pile on the pool cover to deal with too!

We live in the woods too. I can blow everything off and it looks the same 4 hours later. And God forbid we have any strong wind. It blows everything right up against the garage doors and all over the lawn.

We have a carport and they blow up under it. Makes a real mess.

You know, we had three huge trees cut down and have the same amount of leaves. :( The wind just brings them from others yards and deposits them here.

I deal with the same thing every year. I love the shade they provide in the summer, but HATE them in the fall. I usually have 2 or 3 rounds with them before they are all gone. I've begun moving them over....and over....and over until they are dust. Raking and blowing was beginning to break my back. :BH :'(
