The dems succeeded at telling people they would die if Newsom were recalled because he kept them from dying by his mandates. There are so many scared individuals in this state, they truly think the government is the only thing that keeps them safe. The schools, teachers news and politicians have spent decades to accomplish this.

Several school districts now will only do zoom meetings because the people are so pissed, the school boards feel threatened. Instead of realizing the people aren't having any more of this for their kids, they are double downing on more mandates and keeping the parents from participating in moving forward to better solutions. It is crazy what I am seeing her in liberal land.

Well, talked with the Brother this afternoon, he's dead set on resigning from the Army with 19 years in rather than take the mandated shot.

It's not the constitutional part of it at all, the Far Right has him convinced that he's going to keel over and die if he takes the vax. You could just hear the fear in his and my SIL's voices.

I talked with a guy in Pop's when I was picking up lunch that his brother is quitting as well with 19 years. Signing on as a contractor and going to middle East somewhere.

What a freaking mess. The Mandate has done nothing but further divided this country and made it where many of those on the fence who might have taken it after a while will never do it now just because they are trying to force it on them.

Better get boating and have those accidents.

I also read that closed gun stores are being required to send all their records to the ATF to be stored so that they have records of everyone who purchased weapons there. Which the left promised they would never do. I am shocked, shocked I say, that the Liberals appear to have lied to us. Again.
 
I'm curious....what proof of vaccination does one have to provide to the Army? Is it simply having one of the vaccination cards?

Another concern to me is that so many of these rules use the phrase "Fully Vaccinated" Who determines what that means? How many boosters and how many variants are we going to have to take to stay "Fully Vaccinated" The first two shots are just the beginning.

Exactly... I was fully vaccinated... however at this point I don't think I will get another shot. I have a feeling I will join the unwashed masses and be deemed unvaccinated, or not FULLY vaccinated.

Until they consider those who had covid having immunity, I will put this in the politics column, and not public health.

I became jaded way in the beginning ( around April 2020) when my EXTREMELY liberal roommate almost screamed at me, that once you got covid you could get it again. Even though there were not any statistics that I trusted. Nor did we know much about Covid at that point.

They were looking to keep us all masked, and our businesses closed. If you got covid, then you were no longer a threat.... but if they did not acknowledge natural immunity then there were no exceptions. She of course was a diehard Rachel Maddow fan.

I truly think many flu cases were chocked up as a second covid case or vise versa, based on no one even having the flu last year.

Again I am in a different state and I trust no one and nothing at this point. This has been a hell of a 2 year period.
 
Yeah, I've had alpha, and the two alpha shots. I may have been exposed to Delta and had such a minor case I had no symptoms, but will have developed Delta antibodies as well. Every time you are exposed to this thing, your body has to react all over again, so I would think that anyone who has had it is getting re-boosted over and over. 'Course, I'm not a microbiology expert, but it matches what I know about the body defense system.

Until something makes me take the booster, I'm holding off.

I've been listening to several doctors speak on the issue of the booster. The general consensus from reasonable sounding people is that if you are not over 65 or at risk, you should not get the booster. Note that these were all Pro Vax doctors, not anti-vaxers.

I've filled out the paper work for mom to get it, she's 86. She survived the alpha, but not sure how she would do with the delta.

It seems to me the Libs listened too much to themselves during the election with their promises of "fixing" covid if they got it with shots, so they are panicking and doubling down on vaxes. They just can't seem to get it through their heads that the shots don't block Delta.
