ATLANTA (AP) -- A father looking for his son since the mother took off 15 years ago has found the boy because of a Georgia child abuse scandal.

In an interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (HTTP://BIT.LY/VQCF5Z ), Tony Wawrzynski said he hadn't seen his son, now 18-year-old Mitch Comer, since the child was 3 year old and was taken away by the mother, his girlfriend.

What a mess. What a frickin' mess. In every imaginable way. If she really ran with the kid, she ought to be horse-whipped.

(What does that even mean? Being whipped with a whip one uses on a horse?)

I looked it up, and yes, that is what it means. Apparently some folks call a whip a "horsewhip". I've only ever heard whip or riding crop. Anyhoo, that's what it means.

The good news is that this child has family that wants him. Hopefully, someone who will treat him well.
