Nobody is saying you're the bad guy for not bashing Trump. My earlier point was that you admit the negative thing about Trump is true but then you proceed to attempt to minimize or justify it (essentially Trump being Trump). Either whatever Trump did was wrong or it wasn't.

My reference to incorrect statements were your statements about me constantly and daily posting negative posts about Trump. Unless you can prove those statements to be currently true (hint...you can't), then they were incorrect statements. Simple concept.
 
I get it, Trump says stuff that makes folks cringe at times, but I'd still prefer Trump over the Biden ticket any day of the week. Biden's open borders, soft on crime, LGBT+ 24/7 agenda and foreign policy disasters have literally put EVERY American at risk. We're in a mess.

Trump may be a 1st class jackass, but I'd still vote for him over Biden. I wasn't impressed with the Trump selling patriotic Bibles. That was cringeworthy, but still, Biden supports abortion, DEI initiatives, illegal immigration and the list of things that hurt America is 10 miles long. I just cannot ever see myself voting for Biden.

Some will vote 3rd party for Kennedy, and that's ok, I believe that will help Trump and hurt Biden. We'll see. So, get your wallet out and write that check to TRUMP2024. (As for me, I plan on keeping my wallet closed though.)

This is why people don’t get involved in politics, even when it’s supposedly for the same team. Everyone has their own opinion of things (not just regarding politics, whether or not others agree or even like them).

I'm not sure why you have such a need for me to validate your feelings toward Trump. I've never tried to justify Trump's shenanigans; my only point was that there's nothing we can do about it, so I really don't get why some have such a burning need to bitch about it so much. Maybe it's from the COVID vaccines, I dunno.

I truly don't think you realize just how negative toward Trump you've become. You mentioned awhile back that you're getting some flack over your Trump statements at another forum as well. Perhaps that should tell you something.

No matter, I'm just going to ignore most of the pettiness going forward. I don't like negativity, and my mission in politics is to take back my country from the Socialists. Bashing our quarterback is not conducive to winning the game.

Trump is a horrible human being with zero redeeming qualities as it pertains to a being good person. This has been my opinion of him for years and he has done nothing to change my view. He is the GOP candidate and I will vote for him like I did the last two POTUS general elections. Just because he is the only viable choice does not mean I have to like him. I have no respect for him or pretty much any other politician. Biden is a train wreck and would never have been elected if it was not for the huge negative opinions of DJT during the last POTUS cycle. I do believe a lot of independents will come back to DJT this election because Uncle Joe is so bad.

OK....I was going to let all of this go after last night but....COVID vaccines...REALLY? SMDH

I have never needed or cared if you validate my feelings towards Trump. I honestly couldn't care less. This is an internet forum with a politics section that has threads dedicated to Trump and others. I must have missed the rules suggesting only positive things about Trump should be discussed. Yes, I know there is no written rule but given that one of the owners of this forum typically bashes those that post negative Trump stuff, it certainly seems like there is an unwritten one.

And again, you lied about me saying I'm making constant and daily negative posts about Trump which is just not true.

You did acknowledge Trump did something dumb and then you attempted to justify it. This is basic English language. It's not that difficult.

Example: Trump posted something dumb, but he was just playing the media.
Reversing that to match the example above: You seem to think that playing the media justifies Trump posting something dumb.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with attempting to justify Trump's actions if that is what you believe. But at least be willing to acknowledge that that is what you're doing. Words matter.

I'm done with this. This back and forth is pointless since you won't admit to the very basic meanings of words that you post.

So the truth is you do care or else it wouldn’t bother you as much as it apparently has.

Let’s try to set the record straight once in for all regarding Trump:

Does anyone here worship Trump or agree with everything he says, thinks, or does? No

Does Trump exemplify the historical attributes of a POTUS: No

Does Trump often say or do stupid stuff? Yes

Is Trump a true conservative: No

Is Trump the hands down likely RNC nominee? Yes

That’s it in a nutshell, it’s really not that difficult.

If you consider yourself a Republican then vote for Trump. If you consider yourself a Democrat then vote for Biden. If you consider yourself an independent then you have choices: vote your conscious and for whomever best fits your values. Regardless of who wins the general election we will all survive…the world will not end until He returns.

People are way over invested in politics like they have any real say in the outcome. We all have our opinions but the truth is we have absolutely no control or say over what happens at the national level.

Just vote….you don’t have to reveal who you vote for…just vote. The world may be better off not knowing anyway.

Just for the record, the vaccine remark was in jest. I didn't realize Sense of Humor 1.0 was offline today.

I should also point out that it was almost being demanded that I either agree with the negative remarks aimed at Trump, or stop "trying to justify" them, I don't have to do either. I have the same right to my opinion here that everyone else does. If I thought Trump was a perfect angel who never did anything wrong, I would have the right to believe that.

And BTW, I post as a member of this forum, not an owner. The remarks about unspoken rules were unsubstantiated.

I never got angry in this exchange, and I'm a bit perplexed that others apparently did. Emotions seem to be running high. It was never my intent to piss anyone off.

Some days I feel like I'm in a virtual version of Candid Camera. I'm just waiting for some to post that all of this is a prank and "Smile! You're on virtual Candid Camera!".

This latest discussion started after I made a negative post about Trump. Many negative Trump posts are followed by GD replying with something along the lines of "I agree that what Trump did/said was bad, but....some excuse". If anyone feels the need to justify or explain Trump's action, more power to them. One complaint with all of this is getting called out for posting negative things about Trump along with the inability for GD to admit that his attempts to justify or explain Trump's actions were in fact attempts to justify or explain Trump's actions. Granted, maybe I shouldn't care whether or not GD is willing to admit it or not despite it being on the screen in black and white for all to see. I simply don't like it when people say one thing and then attempt to say they didn't say it. Maybe my understanding of the English language is different. Call me crazy, I guess.

It also annoyed me that false statements were made about me. I simply don't like it when people make up stuff and post it as fact when it can easily be proven to not be true. Again, call me crazy, I guess.

Tip: If making comments in jest, add an :D.

Folks grumble and cuss about politicians.:):D:D:D:D:D:D Always have and always will. :D:D:D:D:DThe truth is that the next president will be either Donald Trump or Joe Biden. I can't ever see myself voting for democrats, primarily because of social issues like Transgender stuff, abortion, immigration, etc., so I'll hold my nose and vote for Trump. I'll admit he needs a muzzle at times because he just doesn't know when to STFU. :eek:He rambles on and the out comes some total nonsense. He's been known to hurl insults and frankly, it's immature and it's getting old. BUT, he might get to nominate a supreme court justice that could turn the tide back towards conservatism. I mean look at Ketanji Jackson. She's a diversity hire with far-left leanings and will always do what's wrong for America. I can't vote for that.

My niece is a die hard liberal who would never vote republican, ever. So as you might imagine, I just vote and let the chips fall where they may.
