Trump's Tax Returns

Here's an article on the ruling

An appeals court has apparently ruled that he has to turn them over, Trump says he's take it to the SCOTUS.

I'm a bit torn on this...while I think the left is unfairly targeting Trump on this and there's likely no precedent for it, I also wonder why Trump won't turn them over.

My personal opinion is that neither Trump nor his accountants are stupid enough to put anything illegal on an official tax return.

I think he's fighting this to:

1) Piss off Democrats and make them froth at the mouth thinking there is something there
2) Distract Democrats and let them spend capital trying to get these returns that mean nothing.

I'm sure he has plans in place to sue the hell out of anyone that gets those returns if they leak (and you know they will, it will be worth much too much money to someone with access for them not to leak)

JMHO

I wonder if it isn't that something on them is illegal but possibly embarrassing to him. He has a very thin skin so, if they show his income was lower than he proclaimed, it could be embarrassing to him.

I'm kind of lost on this one. We've seen the cancelled check, and it was from a personal account. Sounds like they are fishing for the tax returns for another reason to me. Not sure what they expect to find on tax returns that are audited by the IRS every freaking year.
