Update: He is back home Missing trouble maker

aka "The Jackal"
Our cat Obie is missing around Turnberry Dr./Williams Lake Rd. and Bethel Church Rd. If you see him we would appreciate a PM or callp3238249-1801_PosterImg.png. Thanks.

Still no sign. We registered with Lost Cats Georgia, which sends BOLOs to local Vets and shelters. We put out flyers and we have some dirty liter in a box on the porch. We've walked the neighborhood a few times now and spoken to folks. We have cameras armed around the outside of the house to alert us in the night if something comes up on the porches. I'm afraid it's up to him now if he's still alive and hasn't found another place to live. He had it damn good here though.

I had a cat that would get locked in the neighbors' garage or storage building from time to time and go missing for days. He would wander the whole subdivision.

Once we went to a party in our neighborhood several blocks away, walked in, and there was our cat laying on the carpet being pet by someone at the party. They said he had followed them in the house. They thought it was the owners cat. He just loved people and was terrible unfaithful. Cats are sort of the "if you can't be with the one you love, love the one you're with."

When they are young they can roam quite a ways away. I hope he comes back soon.

Am I missing something? I don't see a post from LTD saying Obie came home.
I was thinking the same thing! I went back and read the whole thread again.

Glad he is back!

I wonder if he got locked in somewhere, or whether like many cats, he was just unfaithful and some other family thought he needed a home and kept him inside their home for those days?

That's what I thought too, but then I figured cptlo must have heard it somewhere, so it's probably accurate. I was afraid the little guy got picked off by a coyote,,, glad he made it.
Now the big question is, Where is LTD? He's either hugging the cat, locked out of the Hwy again,,, or trying desperately,(in vain) to post a picture of the cat.

Great news. I've never been attached to a dog before until I got Sophie, she just grabs my heart strings. If you know anything about Shiba Inu dogs then you know how challenging they can be. She's a master escape artist and every time she gets out and runs off it absolutely devastates me so I can relate to how you felt before you got your cat back.

Yup the little turd waltzed in the cat door Thursday evening like nothing had happened. He was hungry but not starving, and his long fur was still clean.

We think a neighbor might have mistaken him for a stray and brought him in during the cold (at least we hope that's what happened). We posted flyers on Tuesday, and maybe they saw them and let him back out. We really don't know.

He wasn't chipped because a neighbor in Ellijay was going to take him and then backed out. He will be chipped soon though.

Glad he’s back. It’s amazing how happy and relieved we are when our pets run off but finally return home.

I couldn’t help but laugh thinking how different we’d feel if our spouse did exactly the same. We’d either be extremely upset that they disappeared in the first place or disappointed they eventually returned. Sorry, my thoughts scare me sometimes.
