This will just take away the ability to own and operate a car from most average Americans.

The energy grid can't even support the ones California has. In the summer they ask people not to charge their cars because there is not enough energy if people need to use the AC.

More and more, people who have an EV are getting rid of them or have horrible heart ache stories about owning one. They end the conversation with I can't wait to get rid of it, or so glad I sold it.

Most do buy a hybrid after that... not a traditional ICE.

I'm really liking that Ram Charger for 2025. My only complaint is it doesn't have a 6.5" bed.

Yeah, as much as I love my RAM, the bed is just too short. Yes, the rear seat room is great, but I rarely carry rear passengers. I would rather have the longer bed.

It's the leadership of the UAW that always endorses the Democrat running for president. Back when Reagan was running against the incumbent (and incompetent) Carter, the UAW leadership endorsed Carter. However, the rank and file endorsed Reagan. I would be surprised if the rank and file endorsed Biden.
