Sounds fun!! Our program is called "Surge". I think it starts today. Hopefully the turnout is as good as everyone else's!!

And where is this?? Is everyone invited??

I believe so. I'm not too involved in it since my hours are so weird in the evening. They announced something about registering for it back in May but I hope they wouldn't turn you away.

Not very familiar with the rules of VBS, but on every sign I have ever seen or people speaking about their VBS, everyone is invited to come. :dunno (I have no clue to where he goes to church, but thought that the second question was easy to answer. :) )

I'd love to take my grandson, he was at summer camp last week so he couldn't go to HHBC.

HHBC starts today NG.

I thought it was last week...........yay!!

:)) It was RNG's and MamaHog's last week. I think it might have been confusing since they all used the same theme and right around the same time. Have fun with your grandson. It looks cool.

VBS is generally open to everyone in the community, regardless of the church. I have several mom friends who are on the Paulding VBS circuit this year - it's a great way to expose kids to Jesus. They always have a great time and it's usually FREE!!

They have stopped selling tickets for the main church so you may be out of luck. The Cartersville extension may still be accepting people. I'm not sure though. Never dealt with them out there. Not sure how you would contact them either. Google I guess?

BTW, it's West Ridge. And, you did have to pre-register. I did get an email about late registration today until 5:30p. A lot of the activities are already full, but you may find something fun he'd like. There is a small charge at West Ridge. My daughter's was $15 for her activity, and some are up to $25. They provide water, but be sure and pack a snack. It's 6pm to 9pm

Late registration is today at East Paulding High School cafeteria from 10am - 5pm. There is limited availability, and it is first come, first served.

Just found out the church that sponsors his Boy Scout troop is doing VBS this week! :yeah They even feed them supper every day! He'll be going there, Tanner beach and cook out on Friday!! :)

 WOW

That's why we have to limit the amount of participants. It's based on space and volunteers. Otherwise, everyone is ALWAYS welcome! :)

I think that it is great that they get such an awesome response even though there is a charge.

I understand. That is bigger group of kids than many elementary schools!

Our VBS started last night at Hickory Heights Baptist Church. We had 103 kids. We are expecting more tonight. It's free. Not to late to bring your kids. 7PM to 9PM.

The charges are nominal and appear to be placed 100% towards the children and their security. Completely understandable and appreciated with a crowd that large. (That's not really directed toward you or a response to your comment. Just stating that I understand the charge.)

No worries - maybe my comment came across as backhanded, but I just said that because most churches get between 100-200 kids when they charge nothing so I'm thrilled that they can get such a great response even with a nominal charge.

It didn't. Or at least I didn't take it that way. I do kinda miss the smaller VBS we used to do and were very involved in. But, my daughter really enjoys this one, and I quiz her so I know she's listening and learning something. :))

There's definitely still a place for both and I'm glad that those who want the choice have that available.
