I'm a big fan of carrying and I do carry at times...I should carry all the time but I need a good holster for someone as small as me so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb because I don't open carry.
And I agree with Fox, situational awareness is what I practice often. As an example, I always back into my garage so I can pull out forward and hit the gas if I need to. I also have motion lights on my garage and like NG, when I put my car in gear, all the doors lock.
And for me and just me, I observe and I also profile, yep, I profile. I learned that while being the Neighborhood Watch person in my last community when I lived in Gwinnett. I can spot a suspicious person or car a mile away. But since I am not a cop, I can profile and I do it often.
