Worst.Day.Ever. AHHHH!

MrsB

Pursuit Driver
Today has been the day from Hades. But, before I begin, reader descretion is advised. There is some "smelly" and gross subject matter involved, but it's real life, and a true story.

This morning MrB tells me the in-laws are coming to visit Super Bowl weekend. Friday AM until Monday afternoon. :rant FIL was just here last week. They were here for three days after Christmas. I love them, but I am tired of house guests. Specific house guests. I thought I had put them off for at least a month, as they wanted to come this Friday, but BabyB and I will be in Chatt. So...

I go down to get coffee. I forgot to set it up last night. :tapfoot2 I make coffee, and make a mental note to pick some up while I am out today. Not enough for tomorrow. FIL drinks more coffee than anyone I've ever met.

Leave around 11:30 with BabyB to run to Hobby Lobby to pick something up. On the way, he goes to the bathroom. I can smell it. I stop at Subway, thinking I'll change him and grab a bite to eat and give him a bottle. I load up, no changing table. Go back out. Open the hatch of my Explorer and lay him in the back to change him. As I pull his pants off, poo falls out of his pants.A lot. Onto the carpet. He is covered. So, 10 minutes, 1lb of wipes and lots of prayers I had extra pants in the diaper bag later we go in. They screw up my order. How, I have no clue as I am watching them make it.

After HobLob, I stop at Goodwill even though I know I have to hurry since it is close to BabyB's naptime. On the way out, he starts pitching a fit. I get to the car, and notice there is a cart against the front end passenger side of my car. &*^&%$ I struggle to get him the car seat. Spill the contents of the duffle bag I call a purse. Get in to leave. Somone pulls up behind me and starts chatting with a friend. BabyB is screaming. My head hurts. No one is parked in front. Okay, Imma pull forward. "What the heck was that noise??" I think. I stop. See nothing. I go again, again the noise then it stops. "Huh." I look in the rearview, and there is that &*^& cart. I hit it. I am furious.

I just keep going. FInally I am worried about what it may have done. I stop at Home Depot in Powder Springs. There is a scratch 1/4" wide from under the handle on the passenger side door all the way across the rear passenger side door. :rant

BabyB falls asleep as we get to Hiram, and the nap lasts 10 mins. SO, no nap when we get home. Instead when I put him in the crib he climbs up and rips the mobile into several different pieces and the "arms" are mangled. OK. So, no nap. AND, no more mobile.

At 4:30, I realize I never got coffee. :rant I had to go to WalMart, as that is the closest place to me. And we all KNOW how I feel about that place. They did NOT have my regular coffee. I had to get Maxwell House. :tapfoot2

I'd drink a glass (or a bottle) of wine if my head didn't hurt so bad. So I am finally laying in bed. And I am about to take some Tylenol PM.

As a mom...I understand. I promise it will get better. :hug I will have a glass of wine for you. ;)
:love Please do. I'd love some merlot right now. But it will just make my head feel worse. And thank you :love

I know it will get better. But I am literally sick about the scratch on my car. I mean really, really sick. I knew the cart was there. I *saw* it. Then totally forgot about it within a few minutes. It was *right* in my blind spot.

(hugs)

I'm sorry

a hug is all I got other than we have all been there and it will get better

Oh, darlin'...it's not like you had nothing else going on. You are stressed, and you have been stressed for months. PLUS you had all the events of the day. Doo-doo happens (pun intended).

I'm sorry you had such a rotten day...however, I will say that when I clicked on this thread that I KNEW Wal-Mart would be involved somehow. And ye gods - did you have to go to the HIRAM Wal-Mart?!?!? Either which way, you deserve a vaca by yourself in some quiet spot with somebody to clean your room and bring you food and not need something from you all the time. Not dissin' BabyB...just sayin'.

I'm with Sadie - can't do anything for you, but I can send you :hugs: . :love

Thanks Sadie. :love

I had to vent. :laugh I haven't told MrB about the scratch. I just don't want to. Tomorrow I'm going to take it to the car wash and try to buff it out. We'll see how that goes....

BabyB's poo, however is funny to me now. At the time, not so much. :))

Anybody who goes into that store and lives to tell about it deserves a medal. Serious bidness. ;)

(Although IIRC, Madea rather likes going there because it makes her feel better about herself. Me, I don't get it. It makes me feel worse about the world. )

I would add that I love our Wal-Mart in Acworth. It's new(ish) and still has nice things. Not braggin' or nuttin'... :D

I remember those days...my son decided to do that once while we were at a wedding with no change of clothes and nowhere near our hotel. Sorry! Get some rest...tomorrow will be better!

I'm sorry - I had to laugh at this part. This TOTALLY sounds like my youngest nephew, who is now 4. He was a MESS when he was that age.
